A store-bought crust will do the trick, as long as you use (she paused here for suspense) at least three different types of apples.
Sweet, tangy, crispy and juicy.
"The best apple pie has five or six different types of apples," said Genao, who owns the popular Yani's Bake House on River Road.
"If I don't have five different types of apples, I simply won't. And that's my secret!"
She's busy making scones today, so the recipe remains a secret.
